About Ummul-Asia
A charitable children's home in Kahawa Wendani, Nairobi, caring for vulnerable children and youth since 2006
Our Story
A home born from love and remembrance
Ummul-Asia Children's Home is a charitable orphanage in Kahawa Wendani, Nairobi, Kenya. It was founded in 2006 by Ms. Mishi Kadama, affectionately known as Mama Mishi, in memory of her late daughter.
What began as a mother's act of love has grown into a home that supports and houses dozens of vulnerable children and youth. Here, every child receives the essentials of a stable life: food, clothing, education, and medical care, offered in a safe and supportive family environment.
We continue to rely on community outreach, dedicated volunteers, and public donations to keep our doors open and our children cared for. When you come here, you belong here.
